Application deadline extended: Last chance for German companies to participate in the International German Sustainability Award 2024!

until July 29th apply for the International German Sustainability Award!

This year companies have the opportunity to apply for the 17th German Sustainability Prize (DNP) by July 29, 2024. The DNP awarded companies that are based in their international cooperation on the sustainability goals of the Global Agenda 2030. The special thing about this year is that German companies in partnership can also apply with companies from the global south. Together they should promote change into a sustainable economy and take responsibility along their supply chains.

The DNP works with Wilo this year, a multinational technology group based in Dortmund. Together they want to honor cooperations that afford a significant contribution to sustainability through innovative environmental and efficiency technologies. Particular attention is paid to the technology transfer, which is intended to promote economic, social and ecological advances in the global south.

The winners of the DNP and Wilo are awarded as part of the 17th German sustainability day on November 29, 2024. As a guest of honor, Dr. Gerd Müller, General Director of the United Nations Organization for Industrial Development Unido. Dr. Müller had already launched the award in 2018 as the then Federal Development Minister.

Further information on the application can be found at www. sustainability.

The German sustainability prize is the most important national award for top performance of sustainability in all sectors. With over 1,300 applicants and 3,000 guests at the events, the DNP is the largest price of its kind in Europe. The award is awarded by the German Sustainability Prize Foundation in cooperation with the Federal Government, municipal umbrella organizations, business associations, civil society organizations and research institutions. The award ceremony takes place as part of the German sustainability day in Düsseldorf, the annual communication platform on the topics of sustainable development.
