Berlin's new queer representative files a criminal complaint against ex-editor-in-chief of the BILD newspaper due to the Nazi ideology proximity and incitement

Berlin's new queer representative, Alfonso Pantisano (SPD), filed a criminal complaint against the journalist and ex-editor-in-chief of the "Bild" newspaper, Julian Reichelt. The reason for this is a tweet of Reichelt, in which he criticized the suspension of the rainbow flag in front of the Berlin police headquarters and apparently moved close to the Nazi ideology. Reichelt wrote that "every reasonable person in this country" would wish "that the flag of a political movement would never be raised in front of the police and in front of the darkest facades of our history".

According to Pantisano, this tweet fulfills the punishment of sedition. On his Facebook profile he wrote: "If we speak against hate and violence against queer people, then it is our job to punish such incidents." He trusts that the security and investigative authorities will deal with these criminal offenses.

The Berlin police have confirmed that several ads have been received by Reichelt's tweet. The state protection department has initiated criminal proceedings.

Pantisano, according to his own statement, also filed a criminal complaint due to a program by the media company Nius, which also includes Reichelt's YouTube format. In the approximately 90-minute video "Trans is a trend: How an ideology changes our country", the parties involved spread "countless incorrect and disinformation against the queer community, especially against trans* men and trans* women". The advertisement is directed against the company Nius itself, the managing directors Christian Opitz and Christian Storch as well as against an author of the program, the former "Bild" columnist Judith Sevinç Basad.
