Berlin's grand coalition loses majority: CDU stable, SPD sags, Greens in second place

The CDU received 29 percent of the votes in a latest survey by the Berlin Trend in Berlin and is therefore still stable. The coalition partner SPD, on the other hand, has lost a further 3.4 percentage points and only comes to 15 percent. The SPD weakness means that the black and red coalition no longer has a majority. The Greens as the largest opposition party can easily improve their result of the elections in February and, at 19 percent, are just above the result of February. The AfD is currently 15 percent, which is a clear upswing compared to the elections in February (9.1 percent). The left are stable despite the party crisis and continue to receive ten percent of the votes. The FDP remains with four percent outside the Berlin House of Representatives.
