Berlin S-Bahn network affected from Monday to Tuesday

An unexpected incident led to interruptions on several lines of the Berlin S-Bahn in the night from Monday to Tuesday. The lines S41, S42, S46, S8, S85 and S9 were affected between 10 p.m. and 1.30 a.m. The ring railway line between Ostkreuz and Neukölln as well as between Ostkreuz and Baumschulenweg was affected in both directions.

For the sections concerned, replacement traffic was set up by bus. Passengers of the ring railway line between Ostkreuz and Neukölln as well as the S9 between Ostkreuz and Baumschulenweg were asked to use the replacement traffic opportunities. It was also announced that the ring railway between Ostkreuz and Greifswalder Straße would only run every 10 minutes.
