Berlin celebrates the democracy day with workshops against right -wing agitation in Mitte
The district mayor of Mitte, Stefanie Remlinger, informs about the upcoming events in the Berlin-Mitte city library as part of the action month "Berlin makes democracy". The Berlin Democracy Day, which takes place on September 15, is part of this month of action, which makes the commitment to democracy and equal participation in Berlin visible.
One of the planned events is the workshop "Become a regular table fighter", which should enable people to act against rights and discriminatory slogans. This workshop is particularly aimed at people who want to move into solidarity. The participants learn to analyze right positions and to develop solidarity alternatives together. The workshop is carried out in cooperation with the organization "Stand up against racism".
Another workshop entitled "Civil society under pressure: Dealing with the extreme right", organized by the Amadeu Antonio Foundation, deals with right narratives and offers strategies for resistance and support for affected right -wing hostility. This workshop will take place on September 19, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Philipp-Schaeffer library. Interested parties can register for participation.
