Vienna, 30.7.2024 - The long -awaited large amendment to the Federal Building Code is now known publicly and the real estate industry is pleased that there are finally concrete discussion points. The new legislation is expected to meet the claim to advance the construction. In particular, the basic revision of the entrance paragraphs is considered convincing by many experts.
Aygül Özkan, general manager of the Central Immobilien Kreinch e.V. (ZIA), is satisfied after an initial analysis: "Sustainable building means reconciling ecology, economy and social affairs. This is exactly this balance is reflected in the new structure." An example of this is the easier implementation of serial and modular construction. "This was the central concern of our initiative for affordable living space," said Özkan.
Özkan is also optimistic that the planning and implementation acceleration is now taking up speed and the digitization of the plan procedures is further advanced. Nevertheless, according to ZIA, there are also dark sides: there is still no special regulation for faster and more uncomplicated provision of construction areas for housing construction. Özkan emphasizes that there is a need for improvement and that efficiency and de -bureaucratization should also be the focus of the amendment in terms of inner -city areas.
