Archaeological sensation in Seddin: Bronze Age settlement discovered!

in Seddin, a district of the municipality of Groß Pankow in Prignitz, are currently fascinating exciting archaeological excavations. Archaeologists have already discovered six complete floor plans on an area of around 2,000 square meters, while other structures are in sight. Excavation manager Immo Heske from the University of Göttingen reports on an "excavator ban" after the finds became numerous. These significant discoveries even attract international media, such as the British Guardian. The Brandenburg State Office for the Preservation of Monuments emphasizes that attention is now on Seddin.

The excavations could not only enrich science, but also enliven the region: The district plans to create three new positions in order to cope with the emerging challenges, including access to the excavation site, which has so far been difficult to reach. Archaeologists hope to gain exciting insights into the life of the Bronze Age, while finding information about the diet of the population at the time with finds and charred acorns. The team is currently working with the latest technology to prepare the finds and plans to expand the excavations next year. Further tours and lectures have already been scheduled to maintain the interest of the public. For more details, the MAZ references, as to be read in a current report .
