AOK Federal Association criticizes 'Health Heart Health Act': Ampel coalition should quickly withdraw the draft law
Reimann: Health Heart Law Completely Missing
header>Today's specialist hearing in the Federal Ministry of Health on the "Health Heart Law" (GHG) has once again confirmed the criticism of the AOK Federal Association. The CEO Dr. Carola Reimann illustrated her concerns about the draft law and emphasized its devastating effects. The planned legislation contradicts the principles of the Social Code and ignores important aspects of evidence -based medicine.
The traffic light coalition has failed to consistently promote primary prevention and to reduce the consumption of tobacco, alcohol and unhealthy food through population measures. Instead, senseless early detection investigations and the forced more prescription of cholesterol skirts are included in the GKV performance catalog. This leads to an expansion of early detection without proof of benefits and endangers scarce medical resources. This further makes access to medical treatment more difficult.
Furthermore, the broad use of statins should be prescribed by the legislator instead of using the well-founded expertise of the G-BA and IQWiG in the drug area. This state requirement follows the concept of "pills instead of prevention" and withdraws prevention funds funds that were intended for courses for movement, nutrition, stress reduction and addiction prevention. Thousands of certified courses for the health promotion of children, adolescents and adults are available.
Not only the structures of health promotion are broken up, but the successfully established DMP program is also jeopardized. The law extends the programs intended as a special care for chronically ill to most of the population, which leads to additional billions of billions.
The alignment of outpatient care is also impaired. The planned improvement in acute care within the framework of the emergency reform does not match the questionable measures, which due to the GHG regulations have an excessive burden on medicinal resources.
The draft law on the "Healthy Heart of Law" goes in the completely wrong direction. Evidence -based medicine and the institutions they represent are mocked. Primary prevention is counteracted and established prevention structures are endangered. It is wasted with premiums and the specified savings potentials are not understandable.
The AOK Federal Association therefore appeals to the traffic light coalition to withdraw the draft law as soon as possible to avoid further damage to the German health system.
