Traffic lights and the refugee crisis: How long does Germany last patience?

Rarely does the history of a government offer the opportunity to be really brave and to regain trust of the citizens. Unfortunately, the current government, the so-called "traffic light coalition", missed this opportunity. The migration summit has not solved the problem of uncontrolled immigration through alleged waves of refugees. This problem is in the meantime in the concerns of many citizens who understand that a large number of migrants stay in Germany, even though they are obliged to leave.

The majority of citizens have recognized that only a small part of the migrants is actually politically persecuted. Nevertheless, it seems that Germany leads some migrants around the nose who unscrupulously exploit our generosity and humanity. They throw their passes away, but never their cell phones. This tactic makes the expulsion considerably more difficult.

arrogant small-small policy

The federal government is still acting in small-Klein mode and believes that it can get through the population. This approach is considered arrogant. It would be necessary to take a big step - just as other countries do it successfully. Denmark, for example, shows that it is possible to pursue a strict but fair migration policy.

Another major problem is at the EU level. For a country like Germany that depends on Europe and open borders, it is particularly painful that Brussels proves to offer effective solutions. Bureaucrats, which are far from the everyday reality of people, dominate the scene. The Brussels power center could actually approach the real problems, as many believe.

Merkel's legacy and Scholz 'promise

The head of the federal police recommended that people without asylum claim to be rejected directly at the borders. But Merkel declined for fear of ugly pictures. Today Olaf Scholz promises that Germany can determine who is going into the country. But the reality that migrants choose Germany refutes it every day.

This dilemma is perceived as a serious burden by many citizens, especially women in urban areas. They feel unsafe and left alone from the traffic light coalition. "Respect" is Scholz's lead word, but what the government delivers is perceived as disrespectful. A detailed report on these developments can be found on www.focus.de can be read.
