Before the game, considerable safety precautions were taken, with around 1,500 police officers who caused peace. During the game there was a peaceful atmosphere, apart from a small incident when two spectators kept up Palestinian towels. The security service quickly intervened and ended the incident. The Maccabi fans, who were in the hall with about 450 followers, cheerfully cheered on their team, especially after a strong start, in which Maccabi took the lead with 8: 0.

The Berliners started the game weakly and had difficulty keeping up in the first half. After a desolate first quarter, which ended at 16:32, they managed to catch up in the second quarter, but Maccabi quickly restored the old lead. David McCormack, who made his debut, was able to set some accents with his presence on the field, but had to leave the game early because of personal fouls.

Alba continued to fight, came up to 78:90 in the fourth quarter, but Maccabi's dominance and jokubaitis ’excellent game ensured that the Berliners ultimately had no chance. This defeat marks the tenth defeat for Alba in the current Euroleague season, which further increases the pressure on the team and the coaching team, as RBB24 reported. According to the Tagesspiegel, the error rate on the offensive of the Albatrossen remains a worrying topic, while at the same time you have to gain stability on the defensive side.
