Current traffic information A14: closures and traffic freezing between Löbejün and Könern as well as Calbe and Schönebeck

The A14 motorway will be closed on February 18, 2024 between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. in both directions between the Löbejün and Könnern junctions. This applies both to the overtaking tracks and a 15-minute traffic stop that is carried out by the motorway police. The reason for these measures is to protect work on the overhead line. Afterwards, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., the overtaking lane between the Calbe and Schönebeck junctions is closed in both directions, also with a 15-minute traffic stop by the motorway police to secure work on the power line.

These temporary traffic restrictions could lead to significant effects on local traffic in the area. Drivers must expect delays and traffic jams during the specified periods. It is recommended to use alternative routes or to plan time for the delays.

Historically, the A14 is one of the most important highways in East Germany. It connects the cities of Magdeburg and Schwerin and is an important traffic route for regional and national traffic. The A14 was built in the 1990s after the reunification of Germany to improve the infrastructure in East Germany and to promote economic development in the region.

In the following you will find a table with additional information about the A14:

| Section | Connection points | Blocking time | Reason |
| —————- | ————- | ————– | ———————- |
| Löbejün - Könern | | 09: 00-10: 00 | Work on the overhead line |
| Calbe - Schönebeck | | 10: 00-11: 00 | Work on the power line |

It is advisable to keep up to date on the current traffic information and to check the traffic situation before starting driving in order to prevent possible inconvenience.
