Cancellation of the Klimemo in Berlin: Mass blockade still planned

A demonstration of the Climate Protection Group Extinction Rebellion in Berlin was canceled. The group cited the "tense global political situation" as the reason and now focuses on a large rally planned for December 9th. The demonstration, which was planned under the motto "Stop fossil subsidies", should support a mass blockade of the "last generation", which wanted to occupy road on Saturday.

The "last generation" apparently plans to carry out their mass blockade despite the cancellation of the demonstration. There was an information event by zoom, in which interested parties were informed about the project. Extinction Rebellion's spokesman confirmed that they were in contact with the “last generation”, but gave no information on possible differences. A statement by the “last generation” was not to be obtained in the evening.
