Attention, dear reader! From October 03 to October 5, the CCD congress center in Düsseldorf will be transformed into the stronghold of plastic and aesthetic surgery! There is the highly expected 54th annual conference of the German Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (DGPREC). Under the motto "Dynamics, discipline, humility", over 1,000 surgeon gather: inside, ready to present their Expertise and innovations in a wide variety of areas of the field!

This conference has it all! The celebrated meeting begins on the day of German unity, a holiday, which means this year that the opening press conference is no longer necessary. But don't worry! The possibility of shining in personal exchange with experts in the industry is all the greater. The Congress President, Prof. Jutta Liebau, will be with her colleagues, Prof. Dr. Christoph Andree and Prof. Dr. Heinz-Herbert Homann, deep into the fascinating world of plastic surgery.

Plastic surgery is a masterpiece of technology! Not only the external appearance is optimized here, but also restored inner well -being. Under the microscope, finest nerves and blood vessels can be sewn - a process that is so precise that it is changing the life of the patient: inside! A highlight of the conference will be the lecture by Prof. Dr. Be Christoph Andree, who will present the latest and gentle most gentle procedures for breast reconstruction. And even better: Damage after tumor operations can even be supplied with fat tissue, which was previously taken elsewhere. The developments are breathtaking!

A moving part of the event is made by Prof. Dr. Heinz-Herbert Homann presented. He talks about the opportunities of professional rehabilitation through plastic surgery and will introduce a special patient, Britta Meinecke-Lekotte. This surgical nurse, which suffered serious injuries in the event of a job accident, now has a bionic prosthesis and today supports other patients: inside-a true role model!

Of course, university professor Dr. Marcus Lehnhardt is not missing! It will illuminate the current structural change in plastic surgery and, in particular, deal with the further training of the next generation. A perfectly planned student day on October 4th with workshops and practical microsurgical exercises will be the thirst for knowledge of the prospective surgeon: breastfeeding inside and inspiring them for the future!
