Interested parties can register on the official website by September 22, 2024. This commitment not only offers the opportunity to present your own ideas, but also to expand your own sphere of activity. If you have any further questions or if necessary for support, citizens can contact the Steglitz-Zehlendorf (Kijubsz) children's and youth office at any time. The contact options are diverse: Both telephone inquiries are available at 0178 811 9944 and email inquiries to kijubsz@berlin.de.
From 07. to October 9, 2024, the vote will finally take place. Here the citizens have the opportunity to vote for the projects that are most important to them. The link to participate in the survey is provided by the Kijubsz after all suggestions have been received and checked. In this way it is ensured that the ideas are not only taken into account by the young people in Steglitz-Zehlendorf, but are also actively supported.
The commitment of young people and local administration is of great importance and shows how important it is to involve the opinions of the younger generation in decision -making processes. Setting up a so-called “child and youth household” not only makes access to funding easier, but also promotes interest in political participation. This initiative could take on a model function for other districts that want to create similar programs.
