25 new trainees start their career in the Treptow-Köpenick district office

in the heart of Berlin, in the town hall Treptow, there was an important welcome party for 25 new trainees and four dual students of the Treptow-Köpenick district office. District Mayor Oliver Igel and the training management warmly welcomed the talented newcomers after successfully prevailing against an impressive number of 590 applicants. This event marks the beginning of a new chapter in the professional career of these young people.

The new trainees are trained in various professional fields. Among the 25 participants are:

  • 2 City Secretary candidates
  • 13 administrative assistant/administrative assistant
  • 3 administrative assistant/administrative assistant with a focus on "regulatory office"
  • 1 surveying technician
  • 3 gardeners in gardening and landscaping
  • 2 specialists for media and information services
  • 1 IT specialist
It should be emphasized that a gardener is trained as part of a cooperation with the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district office. This promotes cross -divisional training that underlines the increase in valuable skills.

dual courses for the future

For the next year, more precisely from October 1, 2024, the training spectrum will also be expanded by introducing dual courses. Two students will complete the dual course of “public administration”. In addition, a student in the field of "social work" and a student in the "Administrative Informatics" course is trained. These programs are based on the needs of the administration and enable young people to closely link theory and practice.

The high demand for dual study places has already led to an attitude of four dual students in the "public administration" and four in the area of ​​"social work" in the summer semester. These developments show how dynamic and adaptable the district office is in times of change.

A total of 67 trainees and 36 dual students are now employed in the Treptow-Köpenick district office. The training of this talented group is supported by committed practice instructors who ensure a high level of training quality.
