15 years of the UN Convention on the Rights of Disabilities: Coalition has not yet implemented many projects
On March 26, 2024, the entry into force of the UN Convention on the Rights of Disabilities in Germany marks the 15th time. The CDU/CSU parliamentary group criticizes that the coalition has not yet implemented many of its projects to implement the convention.
The participation officer of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, Wilfried Oellers, emphasizes that it is noteworthy that even his own disability officer warns the federal government to comply with its targets. It leads concrete examples of how the Federal Initiative Accessibility, the Competence Center Easy Language/Sign language and the action plan for a barrier -free healthcare system that have not yet been implemented. The workshop reform, for which a workshop study is already available, will only be dealt with in dialogues. The plans for the further development of the uniform response points for employers have also not yet been specified.
The CDU/CSU parliamentary group expects the traffic light coalition to drive inclusion ahead. In recent years, the parliamentary group has already developed several Bundestag initiatives with extensive claims, such as to improve accessibility in the areas of transport, tourism, culture and sport, the inclusive labor market and tax improvements. She also brought suggestions for barrier -free digital vocational training and for better equipment from the surveillance site for barrier -free IT in the budget negotiations. Further initiatives are being planned.
The CDU/CSU parliamentary group represents the Middle People's Parties in parliament and is committed to a strong free-democratic constitutional state, the social and ecological market economy, the integration into the western value of values and for the agreement of Europe.
