In a new partnership, the Ueberreuter Verlag is aiming for an active role in promoting reading. Since the beginning of July, the publisher has also been a member of the Reading Foundation's Stifter Council. With its expertise in the field of children's and youth books, the publisher will make a valuable contribution to promoting the reading skills of young people.
The Ueberreuter Verlag has a long tradition in the publication of high-quality children's and youth literature. The publisher's books kidnap young readers into fantastic worlds and rain to think and dream. In addition, the company places great emphasis on socially relevant topics and supports the establishment of new writing talents.
As a new member of the Stiftung Reading Foundation, the Ueberreuter Verlag will play an important role in the development of reading programs. The Stifterrat consists of over 50 associations, organizations, companies and people who are committed to promoting reading and thus for education in Germany.

With their focus on children's and youth issues and their commitment to promotion, they bring valuable expertise and know the committee," emphasizes Dr. Jörg F. Maas, General Manager of the Reading Foundation.
Georg Glöckler, owner, managing director and publisher's manager of the Ueberreuter publishing house, explains: "We have long been connected to the goals of the Reading Foundation and are very happy about membership in the Stifterrat. We are confident that we can implement joint projects in the future to further promote reading and reading aloud."
The Ueberreuter Verlag was founded in Vienna in 1946 and is one of the last independent publishers on the German book market. The company focuses on quality children's and youth literature and attaches particular importance to promoting new writing talents. Since 2014 the UeBerreuter children's and youth book program and the picture book imprint Annette Betz have been part of the G&G Verlagsgesellschaft mbH based in Vienna.
The Reading Foundation is committed to promoting reading in Germany and is involved in the development of programs and campaigns together with various partners. The foundation enjoys the patronage of the Federal President and is supported by numerous prominent personalities.
