Transca bobbing in Berlin-Schöneberg
In the pulsating metropolis of Berlin, another attack on a trans woman occurred on Saturday night. The crime took place on Frobenstrasse, corner of Bülowstrasse and was reported by the police of the capital on Saturday afternoon.
Time around 0.15 a.m. the 46-year-old woman approached several strangers. Suddenly one of the perpetrators suddenly sprayed irritant gas on her face as he hid his own face with a hat and a scarf. The attack was filmed by the group, which then fled towards Kurfürstenstrasse.
The injured woman was treated on site by rescue workers because she complained about irritated eyes. The investigations on the incident, which is classified as hate crime, are now in the hands of the police protection of the State Criminal Police Office. So far, no further information about the attackers have been announced.
Berlin is increasingly listing reports on the anti-LGBTI attacks. The state police specifically inform about possible hate crimes due to sexual orientation or gender identity and thus make it more public. Both the police and the public prosecutor in the capital have special contacts for queer people to assist them in such situations.
