New cycle path connection in the south of Lichtenrades: Wall cycle path open!

New underpass on the Wall Cycle Path for Foot and Cycling Service

The long -awaited connection in the Wall Cycle Path on the Dresden Bahn in the south of Lichtenrades was opened prematurely. Deutsche Bahn and the district office have decided to make a quick agreement and removed the construction fences before the official opening to enable the passage.

The new underpass offers pedestrians and cyclists an attractive way to cross the southern part of Lichtenrades to the border of Blankenfelde-Mahlow. This early opening is also an important relief in the south, since the rail crossing on the Wolziger line is currently closed.

The district councilor Dr. Ellenbeck was pleased with the new connection and emphasized the importance of the early opening for relief in the south. This measure will not only improve local traffic, but also contribute to the attractiveness of the cycle path network.
