Discussion round in the library: Experience and design democracy!
on September 23, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., an exciting event takes place in the Gottfried Bennn library, which is devoted to the most important values of our democracy. The discussion round is moderated to create a respectful and open atmosphere. Here the participants have the opportunity to share their thoughts on democratic basic values and listen to each other, which is particularly important to develop a better understanding of different perspectives.
The discussion is accompanied by the exhibition “Respektremaum”, which will be presented from September 17th to 25th on the first floor of the library. This exhibition uses artistic forms of expression to shed light on central theses to democratic values. She should not only inform, but also stimulate thought and invite you to actively participate in the conversations.

The Gottfried-Bennn library is located at Nentershäuser 1st place in Berlin, in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district.
This event takes place as part of the intercultural weeks and the Berlin volunteer days, which underlines the importance of dialogue in a diverse society. The event will be organized in cooperation with the Respektrektenraum e.V. and the Steglitz-Zehlendorf volunteer agency.
A special focus is on promoting the dialogue between people from different cultures and with various life paths. In times when the company is shaped by numerous challenges, this exchange is equivalent to a valuable step towards strengthening democratic values.
whether you already have experience in discourse or want to participate for the first time, everyone is welcome to raise their voice and actively participate in the conversation. The ‘Respectrum’ offers a platform where thoughts are exchanged and opinions are respected. So, remember: your opinion counts!
