Apply now: Volunteer as a patient advocate in Havel Clinic Spandau
A way to actively contribute to health care and support patients offers volunteering as a patient principal. The possibility of applying is currently being offered for the Havel Clinic in Spandau until May 15th. This voluntary activity includes the clarification of patients about their rights during their hospital stays and support in the perception of these rights.
Patient principal is appointed by the district assembly for an election period and receive an allowance for their work. They offer patients the opportunity to contact them confidentially in personal conversations or in writing with their concerns. They are subject to confidentiality and are independent of the hospital.
For the office, commitment, negotiation skills, empathy and a self -confident and conflict -effective occurrence are important. In addition, the patient advocates should bring intercultural skills and/or foreign language skills to ensure the exchange with all patients.
