Preparations for the big New Year's Eve party at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin are in full swing while the city is preparing for the turn of the year. As the B.Z. , the first streets were already closed on Thursday. Specifically, the street of June 17th between the Great Star and the Brandenburg Gate is completely closed, as is Ebertstrasse and Yitzhak-Rabin-Straße. These closures apply until January 2, 2025 at midnight. Pedestrians and cyclists are also affected by the restrictions, but there are signposted diversions.
