The youth work of the youth welfare office Reinickendorf honored six young people on April 29, 2024 who have completed a qualification for training or are already in training. City Councilor Alexander Ewers emphasized the importance of youth profession in times of shortage of skilled workers and emphasized that society could not afford to lose young people for the world of work. The youth professor plays an important role in avoiding youth unemployment and supporting young people in their social, social and professional integration.
Leonard Simpson from the youth profession said that many of the young people supervised initially suffered from lack of prospects and uncertainty and needed support in order to strengthen their self -confidence and to take up a profession. Especially in times of pandemic, many young people were cut off from school connection, which made the support of the youth profession all the more important.
Since the foundation of the youth professions in Berlin in 2016, job centers, employment agencies, advisors to vocational schools and the youth profession of youth welfare offices are closely related to support young people up to 25 years and to promote their integration into professional life.
