A great success: Youth Festival in Reinickendorf sets a sign against intolerance

Last weekend the third children's and youth festival took place in Reinickendorf, which was under the motto "Heatwave. The sound against intolerance". Despite some rain showers, numerous young visitors flocked to the festival meadow on the Borsighallen to celebrate a self -organized party together.

The organization team, consisting of committed young people, was showered with praise. District Mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU) was enthusiastic about the high commitment and creativity with which the festival was set up.

Over 30 live acts from different parts of Germany presented themselves on stage, including artists from Dresden and North Rhine-Westphalia. The variety of music genres ranged from hip-hop to German rap to techno, pop and hit. Even the well -known actress and musician Paula Hartmann did not miss the opportunity to visit the festival and support the young talents.

The youth project was largely supported by the Department of Youth and Family of the Reinickendorf district office. Youth City Councilor Alexander Ewers (SPD) emphasized the importance of the festival as an example of participatory youth work. The young people not only created something great for Reinickendorf, but also learned important lessons in teamwork and cohesion.

Cooperation with the Kulturcoaching GUG, youth leisure facilities and other sponsors was also praised. The announcement that the festival will go into the fourth round next year was enthusiastic by the young people.
