Incorrect appointment: Citizens' office Märkisches Viertel fully booked fully booked
On April 25, 2024, around 600 appointments for the citizens' office in the Märkisches Quarter were unlocked by the Berlin -wide appointment booking system ZMS. These dates could not be perceived because the citizens' office was closed due to the European elections. The dates were not created by the employees of the Reinickendorfer Citizens' Office, but automatically released by the state date booking system. Due to the closure of the location, the appointments could not be perceived. The dates in the other four Reinickendorf citizens' offices were also booked. Therefore, the incorrectly booked appointments are canceled by the ITDZ Berlin, which is responsible for the ZMS appointment booking system. The affected citizens have to book new appointments.
Such mistakes can lead to inconvenience for citizens, especially at a time when appointments are often scarce for citizens' offices. This underlines the need for a smooth and efficient appointment booking system to avoid unnecessary confusion and double bookings.
It is important that the administrative systems work properly, especially with important events such as elections to ensure that citizens can perceive their rights. In this case, a technical error led to a situation that had to be remedied by the cancellation and re -agreement of appointments. In the table below you will find an overview of the number of appointments that were released by the ZMS system, as well as the number of appointments already booked in the Reinickendorf Citizens' Office.
| Date | Number of approved dates | Number of dates already booked |
| ———– | ————————- | ———————————
| 04/25/2024 | 600 | Booked out |

Such incidents show the importance of efficient administrative systems and the need for smooth communication between the areas involved in order to support citizens with a smooth and professional service.
