Cybergrooming exhibition fights against dangers on the Internet
The exhibition "Click Clever" of the "defend yourself. Against cybergrooming" by the State Commission Berlin against violence can currently be visited in the Center Talma. The exhibition, accompanied and implemented by the "Innocence in Danger" association, informs children of primary school age about the dangers of Instagram, Tikok, online games and other online platforms that are often used by children. The Internet is also increasingly used by perpetrators to address children in a targeted manner, build trust and exercise sexual violence.
Jugendstadttrat Alexander Ewers (SPD) emphasizes the need for education and sensitization of the children: "Cybergrooming is a serious problem that is difficult to control. It is therefore crucial to educate children about the risks. The exhibition enables the children to protect themselves better. It is great that we were able to win the exhibition for our district."
In the exhibition, the children go through an Internet ABC, experience a feeling tunnel, can "like" or "dislikes", buzzers and learn the value of true friendships. The exhibition is designed barrier -low and is also suitable for children and adolescents with special needs and low knowledge of German between the ages of 12 and 14. The texts are written in "simple language" for elementary school students and are also offered in "easy language" for children with funding priorities. There are numerous visualizations and working materials for preparing in the classes. School classes from the Reinickendorf, Pankow and Mitte districts have the exclusive opportunity to visit the exhibition free of charge until 25.06.2024
