Right -wing extremists try to intimidate visitors to the summer pool in Pankow
At the beginning of July, several right -wing extremists are said to have tried to intimidate visitors to the summer pool in Pankow. This emerges from a response from State Secretary Nicola Böcker-Giannini, who was sent to the left-wing MP Niklas Schrader, Klaus Lederer and Ferat Kocak. According to the Berlin Senate, four people held an unannounced demonstration on July 1st, in which they kept up a banner with the inscription "beat up at the Mediterranean / III. National Revolutionary Youth".
The four people who were identified as neo -Nazis wore uniform shirts, on which the imprint "III. National Revolutionary Youth" was also read. However, there is no information on whether the four people are members of the right-wing extremist small party "III. Weg" or other right-wing extremists, says Böcker-Giannini.
The "III. National Revolutionary Youth" (NRJ) claims to be the youth organization of the right -wing extremist "III. Weg". According to a blog post by the party, the NRJ has the task of using "valuable squads for the future" and "raising further generations in the ideological sense".
According to the information of the daily mirror, the four neo -Nazis specifically addressed people who apparently considered them to be migrants. Among other things, they are said to have told the bathroom visitors that the Pankow summer pool is a “German bath” and also tried to take pictures of them to intimidate them. One of the neo -Nazis is also said to have carried a baseball bat.The police found a few quartz sand gloves for one of the four people who are prohibited as a demonstration. The personal details of the four people have been recorded and they are now being determined for violating the Freedom of Meeting Act.
niklas Schrader, interior expert of the Left Party, commented on the answer of the interior administration. He told the Tagesspiegel: "That the Senate cannot even say that the III is behind this action is worrying. This troop is dangerous and very active lately."
The right party "III. Weg" has recently increasingly carried out disturbances on the edge of the queer Christopher Street Day (CSD). Schrader sees in the campaign in the outdoor pool the attempt "in addition to the agitation against queer people on the sidelines of the CSD, also to make a specific racist mood against migrants with the topic of violence in swimming pools." Schrader therefore demands great attention from the authorities.
It is not the first case of right -wing extremists in front of a Berlin outdoor pool. In the summer of 2022, members of the "young nationalists", the youth organization of the right -wing extremist NPD, pyrotechnics in front of the Neuköllner Columbiabad ignited and called for a "mass deportation" on a banner, in allusion to previous riot in the bathroom.
