New life for old youth center: Hohenschönhausen is looking for a carrier!

For the youth site on Dorfstraße in Hohenschönhausen, which has been empty for a long time, a new carrier is being sought to renovate and use the property. The Lichtenberg district office has announced that interested parties can submit their applications by December 13th. The former youth meeting facility is to be converted into a multifunctional center that offers space for numerous offers for children, young people and families.

The planned concept includes support offers, inpatient educational aids and elements of community work on a 6200 square meter property. In a two -stage selection process, suitable carriers should present concepts for use, pedagogy and financing. A jury then selects four carriers who have to submit detailed planning documents in the second phase. The selected carrier will then receive a long -term usage contract for the building, for the future -oriented use of which major plans are already made.
