Memorial for victims of the factory campaign and women's protest on February 27, 2024

On February 27, 2024, a commemoration will take place to remember the victims of the "Factory campaign" and the "Protestation of women in Rosenstrasse". The »Factory campaign« took place on February 27, 1943 and led to Auschwitz to the arrest and deportation of 8,000 to 11,000 Jews. Many of them who lived in so -called mixed marriages were interned in the collecting warehouse in Rosenstrasse. The relatives gathered in front of the building and ran out for days until the arrested ones were released.

The commemoration on February 27, 2024 will include still commemoration at the memorial in the Große Hamburger Straße in Berlin-Mitte, followed by a silence to Rosenstrasse. There is another commemoration in front of Ingeborg Hunzinger's sculpture. The event includes musical contributions and prayer chants, as well as the opportunity to lay down white roses before the sculpture.

In order to take part in the commemoration, interested parties must register until February 23, 2024 at 12 p.m. at the e-mail address staendigekonferenz@orte-er-erinnerung.de.
