Workshop Blockbox Brassspecial: New sounds for brass instruments
The workshop "Blockbox Brassspecial" invites brass instruments and its players between the ages of 12 and 20 to discover new sounds. Under the guidance of Jonas Urbat, the participants are introduced to the world of live electronics, recording technology and samples. The workshop will take place on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Orwohaus. Both beginners and advanced are welcome.
The participants can use various band instruments, DJ tools and music software to create new sounds, songs and tracks. The blockbox includes synthesizers, mixers, DJ controllers, sample pads, vocoder and autotune, which enable the musicians to use their instruments in an unconventional way. At the end of the workshop, each participant will be able to take home their own track.
Registration for the workshop is possible by Monday, May 13th, 2024 by email. Interested parties can register in good time to take part in this unique musical and electronic experience. The workshop offers a great opportunity to combine traditional brass music with modern technology and explore new creative ways.
It is encouraging to see how events such as the "Blockbox Brassspecial" workshop give young musicians the opportunity to expand their musical horizons and develop their creativity. Such workshops contribute to the promotion of talents and innovations in the music scene and have the potential to inspire future generations of musicians.
