On Wednesday, October 26, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the district central library "Mark Twain" Arthothek, Marzahner Promenade 55, 12679 Berlin, the musical lecture by Dr. Dietmar Hiller, Konzerthaus Berlin. Elisabeth Leonskaya has been one of the leading pianists of our time for decades. The Konzerthaus Berlin invites the world -famous pianist from February 22 to March 3, 2024 to appreciate her and her musical life through a festival week dedicated to her. There will be evenings with the concert hall orchestra, solo evenings, chamber music appearances and even a public master course (this in cooperation with the University of Music “Hanns Eisler”). In his musical lecture, Dietmar Hiller will appreciate the life and work of this exceptional artist.
The residents of Berlin can look forward to a musical lecture that honors the unprecedented career and musical performance of pianist Elisabeth Leonskaya. Leonskaya is recognized as one of the leading pianists worldwide and has already been funded by Swjatoslaw Richter. She won numerous international piano competitions and worked with renowned orchestras and conductors all over the world. The Konzerthaus Berlin organizes a festival week from February 22nd to March 3, 2024, which is dedicated to Leonskaja's musical work. In addition to appearances with the concert hall orchestra, there will be solo evenings, chamber music appearances and a public master course that takes place in cooperation with the "Hanns Eisler" University of Music.
Dr. Dietmar Hiller, musicologist and dramaturge at the Konzerthaus Berlin, will give a musical lecture on Elisabeth Leonskaya. With his lectures and introductions to classical music, Hiller has explained the world of music in the Konzerthaus Berlin for decades. In addition to his professional activity, Hiller is also active as an organist and church musician and is volunteering in the Berlin choir scene.
The lecture takes place in the district central library "Mark Twain" Arthothek and requires a registration by phone at (030) 54704142. Admission is free, but donations are requested for the Förderverein Stadtbibliothek Marzahn-Hellersdorf e.V. for co-financing the event.
