District office Lichtenberg warns of the loss of green oases in large settlements

In a dramatic race for the green living space in Lichtenberg, an ambitious housing project comes into the crossfire! The state -owned Howoge plans to build a total of 105 new apartments in Joachimsthaler Straße 1, 3, 5, 7. But the price for it? Green habitat as a playground for children is sacrificed! Local residents: Inside, there are outraged about the possible consequences of these blueprint plans. The conflict between the Senate Administration and the district office becomes heated and threatens to escalate.

The construction projects on the property of the Howoge seem well meant, but the fear of a loss of open spaces speaks from the outcry of the residents. The Lichtenberg district office clarifies that this procedure is not only counterproductive, but also intolerable. "We are fighting for the preservation of the green courtyards!" District City Councilor Filiz Keküllüoğlu made it unequivocally clear. The Howoge's plans provide to build part of a playground - a decision that comes across resistance!

The playground in danger!

A playground becomes a boundac! The need for parking spaces and living space is in the room - but at the expense of the children? The Howoge can not only provide the necessary areas on its property and hand over the ball to the Senate. A veritable tug of war begins! The Senate Department for Urban Development has already announced that they are against the resistance of the district office and to request the responsibility for deletion in the land register.

District City Councilor Camilla Schuler expresses sharp criticism of the approach of the Senate: "The overall city is nothing but a drop on the hot stone!" She warns of a repression of local residents and emphasizes that the planned 30 percent rent -bound living space in the new neighborhood will not approximately meet the actual need. "Such decisions ignore the interests of people on site!" The protest is clearly brought up in this way.

resistance of the residents: inside!

Citizens: Inside, understand the need for living space, but not at the expense of quality of life! "The social and traffic infrastructure is already overloaded, and green areas are rare," continues Keküllüoğlu. Due to the upcoming citizen frustration, the mood in the district could tip over! "These steps are an absolutely wrong signal!" she calls full of determination.

But the Senate leaves the residents: inside and the district office unheard. The promise of fair cooperation seems to be forgotten. Both district councilors, Keküllüoğlu and Schuler, are committed to the preservation of green areas - also in the sense of urban air quality. With regard to future weather extremes, the protection of the green courtyards is becoming increasingly important. "Climate protection is not passionate, we rely on legacies, not just on statistics!" Schwor Schuler.

Will we really allow the green oasis to disappear in Joachimsthaler Straße? The fate of a neighborhood worth living is on the brink and the pressure on the decision -makers is growing! In the meantime, the district councilors are in close exchange with the residents and share their concern about the impending loss of an important habitat. Her appeal is clear: "Together for natural courtyards!"
