Young voices demand more support for development cooperation
In an urgent call to the federal government, numerous youth representatives have raised their voice today! Before the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the young activists presented a powerful letter to Federal Minister Svenja Schulze. The focus of their demands: The rigid budget cuts in the area of development cooperation and humanitarian aid for 2025 must be withdrawn immediately!
"The future is in our hands!" Says Georg von der Bread for the world youth, which significantly brings the concerns of his generation to the table. "The promotion of development cooperation is essential to strengthen young people and civil society - this is the only way we can create a fairer and more sustainable world." With his voice he raises the alarm!

In the joint letter, they express enormous concern about the planned cuts and their fatal effects on the global sustainability goals (SDGS). "Today's investments ensure a peaceful future for all of us," adds Lilith from Terre des Jeunes, and she speaks not only for itself, but for an entire generation that is active for their future.
At the end of her passionate appeal, a central point remains: Education is the cornerstone for progress and justice. Muriel von der Junge Gew emphasizes that cuts in educational programs are taboo. "Refuses to delete, the future endangers millions of children and adolescents!" She speaks out what many think: education must not fall by the wayside!
