Young people in Berlin-Prenzlauer-Berg robbed, beat and peeked-two victims injured
In Berlin-Prenzlauer-Berg, two young people were victims of a robbery and subsequent physical violence. According to the police, the incident occurred at Helmholtzplatz on Sunday night. A group of around eight young people demanded the publication of their valuables from two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old
rejected as one of the young people and fled with his companions, the group followed the victims and attacked them. The 15-year-old in particular was brought to the ground with punches and then kicked the upper body and head several times. He was also accepted by valuables. The 16-year-old reported that he was also hit to the ground and threatened with a knife.
In addition to the physical attack, the perpetrators humiliated their victims by urinating them. Due to their injuries, both young people were taken to the hospital for inpatient treatment. The second 16-year-old was not injured.
The police found two suspects aged 16 and 17. Blood traces on the shoe and the older jacket were secured as possible evidence. Both suspects were then handed over to their legal guardians.
The incident in Berlin-Prenzlauer-Berg again shows the brutality and willingness to violate some young people. The police are now investigating the background of the raid. It remains to be hoped that the perpetrators will be appropriately punished and that such incidents can be avoided in the future.
