Resignation from the performance contract: Frieda e.V. withdraws in girls projects
The press release No. 180 of June 24, 2024 informs about the decision of the FRIEDA e.V. sponsoring association to retrospectively sign the newly established performance contracts for the girls projects Alia and Phantalisa on June 1, 2024. This measure had previously been recommended by the youth welfare committee and implemented by the youth welfare office. However, on June 19, 2024, an unexpected turn occurred when the youth welfare office received the news that Frieda e.V. is withdrawing from the signed performance contracts for the two projects.
This decision has an immediate impact on the girls and young women concerned who have previously used the offers of the girls' centers Alia and Phantalisa. The youth welfare office is now planning to provide alternative offers for this target group in the facilities of children and youth promotion. At the same time, a youth welfare -specific expression of interests should be carried out at the locations of the girls' institutions in order to find an adequate succession solution.
The story of Frieda e.V. and his girls projects goes back to the 1980s when the association was founded to offer specific support for disadvantaged girls. Alia and Phantalisa are among the club's long -term programs that are successful in promoting girls' rights and equal opportunities.
In the following table, some facts about the affected projects and the sponsoring association Frieda e.V.
| Project name | Foundation year | Target group | Focus |
| ————- | ————— | ————————- |
| Alia | 1995 | Girls and young women | Education, empowerment, advice |
| Phantalisa | 2003 | Girls and young women | Culture, creativity, self -expression |
| Frieda e.V. | 1986 | Girls and young women | Girls promotion, girls' rights, equal opportunities |
The unexpected decision by Frieda e.V. certainly raises questions and leaves uncertainties regarding the future of girls projects Alia and Phantalisa. It remains to be seen which alternatives the youth welfare office will present and how the continuation of the girl's promotion in the region can be guaranteed.
