Kreuzberger wine harvest in 2024: Low yield, high quality!

In the shadow of the Kreuzberg, the passion for wine bubbles! Last weekend the time had finally come: The annual harvest magic in the VictoriaPark developed and the grapes were harvested! Despite adverse circumstances such as frost, mildew and an almost endless number of wasps that made life difficult for the vineyard, the quality of the grapes can convince.

Around 170 kilos of noble Riesling and a whopping 80 kilos of blue Pinot Noir were harvested this year. The grapes are now ready for the transformation in delicious white and red wine, which will soon fill the glasses of Berlin visitors!

A look back - the roots of the Kreuzberg wine

The wine tradition on the Kreuzberg has planted its roots deep into the history of Berliners. In 1968, the friendly Wiesbadeners gave the district of five vines of the respected Riesling grape variety from Neroberg. It should be the beginning of a remarkable wine trip! In the following years, other partner cities gave a total of 25 vines of the delicious Pinot Noir. A true international wine love that is still blooming!

Now that the harvest has been introduced, anyone who wants to offer a little support can secure this extraordinary Kreuzberg wine! For a donation, this high-quality wine is available from the Hofgrün nursery in Methfesselstraße 10-12 and in the FHXB Museum at Adalbertstraße 95a. So if you want, you can take a piece of Kreuzberg home!
