Shocking accident in Köpenick: Jeep overturns in collision!
Two people were injured in a dramatic traffic accident in Köpenick yesterday afternoon. A 62-year-old van driver collided with a Jeep driven by a 39-year-old woman at the intersection of Hoppendorferstrasse and Kaulsdorferstrasse at around 2:20 p.m. The jeep rolled over upon impact and landed on its roof!
Rescue workers arrived quickly and found the driver in the immediate vicinity of her vehicle. She had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries to her arm, torso and head. The van driver was also transported to hospital for treatment, but was released after receiving treatment. During the rescue and recovery work, the intersection was closed until around 3:40 p.m., which led to significant traffic delays, including on local public transport. The traffic investigation service of Police Department 3 has started the investigation.
