An alcoholic man insulted children in Hellersdorf and injured a boy with a firecracker. Investigations are ongoing.

A scandalous incident shocked Hellersdorf when a heavily drunk 62-year-old attacked two children with a firecracker! At around 2:20 p.m., the man, who was heavily drunk with a blood alcohol level of around 2.6 per mille, insulted the boys, aged nine and ten, from his window with xenophobic comments. But that wasn't enough: he threw a firecracker right in front of the ten-year-old, which ended with a painful leg injury!
Police forces quickly arrived and found remains of pyrotechnic material in the man's apartment and arrested him after giving him legal advice. A blood test was ordered, but the suspect vehemently denied the allegations and was later released. The injured boy, accompanied by his mother, refused medical treatment. The investigation is underway under high pressure, coordinated with the State Police of the State Criminal Police Office.
