ADAC Mobility Index 2024: Where is the sustainable mobility in Germany?

The German mobility landscape is under considerable pressure after pandemic. According to the new ADAC mobility index, it becomes clear that sustainable progress in the traffic sector is not achieved at the desired speed. The improvements during the Corona period were mainly due to state-prescribed measures, not to fundamental behavioral changes in mobility. The index will be presented on October 23, 2024 in the Spreeskäffer Berlin, where ADAC will explain the findings in more detail.

The press conference, which begins at 12:45 p.m., will be part of the ADAC specialist conference "Fiscal measures for more climate protection in traffic", which starts at 11 a.m. There it is discussed whether and how taxes and taxes can change consumer behavior in order to improve the CO2 balance.
